従来のブルーワイドミラーに親水加工を施しました。親水性とは、接触角θｅが小さく、水がなじみやすい性質のことで、酸化チタンをガラス表面にコーティングし、さらに紫外線があたることで、ガラス表面が超親水化します。この酸化チタンは光触媒効果も発揮するので、自ら汚れを防ぐ副次的な効果もあります。曲率９００Ｒでワイドな視界、光学式ブルーワイドミラーは後続車のライトでも眩しくありません。ご使用になる前に必ずシーズニング（紫外線に２４時間以上あててガラス表面の親水性を作る下地つくり（慣らし））してください。

This is generally common in many aftermarket mirrors, however Spoon took development one step further and made the lenses hydrophobic. By coating the surface with titanium oxide and exposing it to ultraviolet rays, the surface becomes very difficult for water to attach to, allowing for a clear view even during rain. Before using the lenses, it is recommended to let them sit in the sun for 24 hours to promote the titanium oxide's adhesion to the glass.
